FROM THE RECTOR
In today’s world, Education is the key to power, success, politics, religion, science and technology, social justice, human rights and personal elevation in life and ministry. Someone once said, “If you think education is expensive try ignorance”. For me, ignorance is more expensive than education. As such, if the current level and trend of theological illiteracy must be eradicated from our churches and ministries, the doors of theological studies must be thrown open to all believers. The priesthood of all believers must be emphasized. On this note, we in Marvelous Shepherd Bible College offers high quality, ministerial training to interested Pastors, Elders, Deacons/Deaconesses, and other church workers who desire to be equipped for their different areas of calling. Our time table is designed to suit all categories of church workers who may not have the opportunity to be full time students. For this reason, we hold lectures mostly on Saturdays for Undergraduates and PGD students, and on Wednesdays/Saturdays for Masters Studies so that, serious minded people could dedicate those days to studying with others about God and the Christian ministry. Finally, there is no more room for theological illiteracy and illiterates in the Christian ministry. Ignore this, and you will be left behind; accept this, and you cannot be a push - aside or a push – over. Ignorance in the midst of knowledge is a choice. ‘It is like being in the middle of a stream but you make use of your saliva to wash your face.’ Therefore choose knowledge and make full use of this opportunity and tell others about it.
You are welcome to a divine partnership. Thank you.Rev Dr. Emmanuel Ekong
